What we collect

We collect your email address and verification status; your queue and referral information; your communications preferences; technical information used to secure the waitlist and prevent abuse; your Founding 1,000 and early-access status; and information relating to your Prize Draw entry and its administration.

If you are selected as the provisional winner, we may also collect your surname and county, information reasonably needed to confirm your eligibility, identity and ownership of the nominated account, your nominated account details and information about payment of the prize.

You must provide and verify your email address to join the waitlist. You do not have to consent to optional marketing. If you are selected as the provisional winner, you must provide the information reasonably needed to verify and pay the prize. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to verify or pay the prize and may select another winner.

Why

We use your information to operate and secure the waitlist and referral scheme, calculate and freeze queue positions, administer the Founding 1,000 and early-access arrangements, communicate with you, and prevent fraud and abuse.

We also use your information to administer the Prize Draw, including selecting, contacting, verifying and paying the winner, administering any redraw, keeping appropriate records of the draw and dealing with related complaints or disputes.

With your separate consent, we may also send you optional marketing. Declining or withdrawing consent will not affect your queue position, Founding 1,000 status, early-access invitation or Prize Draw entry.

Lawful basis

We rely on our legitimate interests in operating and securing the waitlist and referral scheme, administering queue positions, early access and the Prize Draw, preventing fraud and abuse, sending necessary service communications, demonstrating fair administration and dealing with complaints or disputes.

We rely on consent for sending optional marketing.

We rely on our legal obligations where we need to keep records of the prize payment for accounting or tax purposes.

Sharing

We don't sell your data. We share it with service providers who help us run the waitlist and Prize Draw, including providers of email verification and communications, website and cloud hosting, waitlist and referral administration, analytics, security and fraud prevention and prize payment, under contract.

To show that a valid award took place, we will make the winner’s surname and county available to anyone who requests it. The winner may object or ask us to limit the information made available, but we may still provide it to the Advertising Standards Authority if requested.

Some of our service providers may process your personal data in the EU. Where they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations.

How long

Waitlist and Prize Draw data is kept until 12 months after we close the waitlist. You can ask us to delete it sooner where the right to erasure applies.

The winner’s account details are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to pay and reconcile the prize. We may keep limited records of the prize payment for longer where required by law.

If you consent to optional marketing, we keep your details for that purpose until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe. We may keep a minimal record of your preference after you opt out so that we can honour your request.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its use or receive or transfer a reusable electronic copy of certain data, where applicable, by emailing support@haido.com.

You can withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data, including consent for optional marketing, by emailing support@haido.com. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent.

You can object to processing of your personal data where we rely on legitimate interests, for reasons relating to your particular situation. You also have the absolute right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes.

You can also complain to us at support@haido.com, or to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
